About The Position

General Summary: Develop the pipeline criteria and to identify types of products or specific products to add to our portfolio of Mature brands and Generic products. Support the evaluation of product and company acquisition and associated launch strategies or marketing plans of associated products. Represent the Commercial team at IEPL process and work closely with the Project and Pipeline Management department to advance projects into and through the internal or partnered development pipeline process. Work closely with Project Management, Business Development, and Sales Operations by providing pricing, forecasts and financial models (eg. NPV) to support the ongoing evaluation of upstream approved projects (eg. ANDA internal development, in-licensing or acquisitions). Essential Duties: To utilize IMS and multiple other data sources to identify new products that will contribute to the growth of new product pipeline for USL. To manage and lead projects and teams, such as, Product Management, Sales, Supply Chain and Finance to capitalize on new generic market opportunities and through data and market intelligence, proactively implement strategies to grow revenue and margin. Responsible for developing tools, systems and processes to efficiently manage the key areas of the function To collaborate with Cross functional teams to ensure the proper pricing and forecasts are delivered for all upstream projects: co-development, internal development, external development, acquisitions, etc. To collaborate with IELP colleagues in multiple other functions to create a criterion for adding new products to our pipeline. Partner with supervisor to develop, improve and support a process for identifying, evaluating, prioritizing and selecting new products for our core generic and brand portfolio. To utilize market data and other sources to identify new product candidates that meet the criteria. To attend NACDS, HDMA and other meetings as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s
  • A minimum of 12 years of pharmaceutical experience, including: a) two-three years Product Management experience with generic drugs required b) one-two years of National Account sales experience with retail and wholesale headquarter accounts.
  • Excellent financial skills and acumen, including understanding relationships between promotion, COGS, NPV's, pricing and gross margin.
  • Ability to calculate, interpret and leverage knowledge of pricing strategies and COGS to grow portfolio profitability.
  • Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related electronic business tools required
  • Ability to direct and lead a team toward corporate objectives.
  • Ability to manage department budget.
  • Strong interpersonal, organization, leadership and presentation skills.
  • Ability to strategically plan the activities and results of a team.
