About The Position
Join the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) and play a pivotal role in leading the state towards sustainable economic growth while fostering equitable opportunities and vibrant communities. The NJEDA is committed to making a tangible impact on New Jersey's future through innovative economic development strategies, particularly in the film and television industry. This position is part of a dynamic Business Development Team that focuses on promoting, attracting, and nurturing the growth of film and television production within New Jersey. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge and experience in the film and television industry, enabling them to effectively engage with stakeholders and represent the NJEDA at various industry-related events. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and executing departmental goals that align with the NJEDA's business objectives related to the film industry. This includes establishing key performance metrics, leading large-scale initiatives, and managing special projects. You will also create and manage the NJ Friends of Film Advisory Council, which will consist of local community members dedicated to supporting the growth of the film industry in New Jersey. Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders, preparing for board meetings, and ensuring compliance with organizational standards. In addition to your strategic responsibilities, you will manage day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring high-quality outputs and effective project performance. This position reports directly to the Executive Director of Film and Television and will oversee a team of NJ MPTVC employees. The NJEDA offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for up to two days of telecommuting, provided that you have high-speed internet access and managerial approval. This role is not only about driving results but also about fostering a collaborative and customer-focused work environment that encourages innovation and teamwork.
