About The Position

Reporting to the MNPG Chief Operations Officer (COO), the Director Network Optimization will play a crucial role in the planning, project management, and execution of strategic and operational initiatives to advance health system strategy and effectiveness. The Director of Network Optimization leads initiatives to improve operational efficiency, clinical quality, patient experience, and financial performance in outpatient settings, using data analysis, strategic planning, and best practice implementation to drive continuous improvement, staff development, and regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include setting performance metrics, developing workflows, collaborating with stakeholders, and fostering a culture of safety and professional growth among ambulatory teams. This role requires a leader with 10+ years of proven progressive leadership experience, particularly in healthcare quality improvement and ambulatory care operations.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of proven progressive leadership experience, particularly in healthcare quality improvement and ambulatory care operations
  • BA or BS in business, healthcare administration, quality or industrial engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in organizational transformation, process improvement (lean), or project management
  • Five (5) years’ experience in an ambulatory/outpatient leadership role
  • Solid experience in leading and managing strategic initiatives, utilizing project management and process improvement techniques, as applicable
  • Strong business acumen and ability to apply knowledge of finance, HR, IT/IS, etc. to project management
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to effectively influence and engage stakeholders
  • Excellent knowledge of project management methodologies, techniques and processes
  • Demonstrated practical knowledge of change management practices
  • Ability to maintain relationships with operational leaders, teams, vendors and stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment/organizational structure
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure
  • Exhibit practical knowledge for implementing and driving lean management principles to enhance operational efficiency, optimization of processes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of quality improvement principles and practices, patient safety concepts, and data analysis

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in business administration (MBA), healthcare administration (MHA), or related field preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), AGILE or Six Sigma certification a plus
  • Prior experience in project management, lean methodology or similar methodology in a healthcare environment preferred
  • Prior Experience with EPIC preferred
  • Completion of a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Lean certification preferred.
