About The Position

The Director, National Retail Partnerships serves as Renuity’s national owner for all major retail partner relationships. This role is responsible for driving strategy, governance, contracting alignment, and performance optimization across the retail channel, ensuring Renuity presents a unified “One Renuity” experience to every retail partner. This is a highly visible, external-facing role that blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution. The Director will act as the central point of accountability for national retail partnerships—owning partner relationships, footprint strategy, and cross-functional coordination—while partnering closely with divisional leaders who retain day-to-day operational ownership.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in retail partnerships, channel management, business development, or strategic account leadership, ideally in a multi-market or national role.
  • Proven experience owning external partner relationships with senior-level stakeholders.
  • Strong background in contract negotiation, commercial terms, and partnership governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a hands-on leader in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
  • Experience developing market or footprint strategies across multiple regions or store networks.
  • Comfort partnering cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Operations, IT, Data, and divisional leaders.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to represent the company externally.
  • Highly organized, accountable, and comfortable serving as the clear owner in complex, cross-functional environments.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary national point of contact for all major retail partners, ensuring consistent communication and representing Renuity as One Renuity.
  • Act as the central escalation point for partner inquiries related to sales, operations, compliance, and program changes.
  • Own national partner relationship management, including quarterly business reviews (QBRs), program updates, and strategic roadmap discussions.
  • Represent Renuity at national retailer events, leadership summits, and strategic meetings, serving as the senior face of the partnership when needed.
  • Lead contracting and commercial negotiations with retail partners, including pricing, renewals, amendments, and alignment of terms across divisions.
  • Partner with Legal, Licensing, and Compliance teams to ensure national governance standards and partner requirements are consistently met.
  • Develop and manage Renuity’s national retail footprint strategy, including retailer selection, store selection, market expansion, and territory optimization.
  • Lead national planning for greenfield expansion, coordinating store rollout sequencing, licensing preparation, and cross-functional readiness.
  • Establish partner-facing performance frameworks and reporting standards, ensuring consistent visibility into store performance, risks, and budget attainment.
  • Maintain a holistic view of channel economics and performance trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • Partner with IT and Data teams to design and enhance automated reporting and dashboards that support scalable, real-time visibility for both internal stakeholders and retail partners.
  • Lead onboarding and launching new retail programs, product categories, and geographies, ensuring cross-functional alignment and successful execution.
  • Identify and evaluate new retail partnership opportunities, including alternative and lower-cost partnership models.
