About The Position

RBC Capital Markets - Community Investments (RBCCI) is a leading national syndicator of various tax credits and investments in affordable housing. The Director, Workforce Housing Investments will be responsible for the investment strategy and marketing plan for WFH equity investments, developing and managing investor relationships, and serving as a liaison between RBCCI and RBC Capital Markets. This role is crucial for scaling the WFH platform, which targets the workforce housing segment without relying on tax credits or government subsidies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
• 7 to 10 years of experience in multifamily real estate finance/capital markets.
• Strong track record of fundraising and closing with a wide network of investors.
• Proven experience raising capital with established investor relationships.
• Thorough understanding of multifamily real estate finance, financial modeling, and underwriting.
• In-depth understanding of real estate debt and equity capital markets.
• Experience in assessing complex structures and making significant financial decisions.
• Proficiency in MS-Office, MS-Outlook, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for new client development and retention of institutional and non-institutional investors necessary to scale the WFH platform.
• Cooperate with the Head of Originations and Syndications for RBCCI and the WFH team to call on investor clients.
• Develop and execute an effective investment strategy and marketing plan for targeted equity investors interested in multifamily affordable/workforce housing.
• Create a data/research driven framework to highlight the need for workforce housing in the U.S.
• Present investment opportunities to potential investors to secure commitments.
• Manage the WFH pipeline of potential investments for investor clients and funds.
• Coordinate and participate in investor sponsor reviews of RBC Community Investments.
• Identify suggestions for improvement to the WFH underwriting process.
• Collaborate with teams to provide investor relationship management support on execution and closing of investments.
• Communicate fund closings, structures, and modeled pricing to relevant managers.
• Review and comply with Firm Policies and regulatory requirements.
