Summary: The Director, MSL & Medical Analytics (TA) is a senior leader within the Commercial Excellence team, responsible for shaping and executing advanced analytics strategies that optimize medical engagement and evidence generation. This role drives the integration of medical analytics into enterprise-wide initiatives, delivering actionable insights across KOL engagement, MSL activity, care gap identification, and evidence dissemination. The Director partners closely with Medical Affairs, Field Teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to champion innovation, establish governance standards, and foster adoption of advanced tools and methodologies. By translating complex data into strategic recommendations, this leader empowers decision-making, enhances patient outcomes, and provides input to organizational capabilities for the future.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in life sciences, analytics, statistics, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in medical analytics, medical affairs, or pharmaceutical analytics, with a proven track record in KOL engagement, MSL activity measurement, and evidence dissemination.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional projects and influencing senior stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
  • Expertise in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau), CRM systems, and advanced analytics platforms.
  • Strong understanding of predictive modeling, network analysis, and medical engagement metrics.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead and inspire teams, foster innovation, and drive adoption of new technologies.
  • Strategic Leadership: Ability to define and drive the vision for medical analytics, aligning with enterprise and medical engagement objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership Lead the vision and execution of advanced medical analytics capabilities within Commercial Excellence, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategies and medical engagement objectives. Serve as a thought leader for medical analytics, identifying emerging trends and best practices to continuously improve processes and outcomes.
  • Medical Engagement Analytics Own the design and execution of analytics strategies for KOL engagement, MSL activity, care gap identification, and medical engagement effectiveness. Translate complex data into actionable recommendations for medical strategy and field execution, supporting evidence-based decision-making.
  • Evidence Generation & Dissemination Analytics Design and implement analytics frameworks for evidence generation, including study impact measurement and dissemination analytics to track publication reach, scientific engagement, and knowledge transfer.
  • Performance Measurement & Reporting Develop robust dashboards, scorecards, and KPIs to monitor medical engagement and evidence dissemination performance. Deliver timely insights to senior leadership to inform strategic planning, resource allocation, and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Field Teams, BI&T, and Commercial Excellence to integrate medical analytics into broader enterprise strategies. Influence decision-making through data-driven insights, scenario modeling, and partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Governance & Compliance Establish and maintain governance frameworks for medical analytics processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, data privacy, and internal governance requirements. Maintain audit readiness and documentation for compliance purposes.
  • Innovation & Capability Building Drive adoption of advanced analytics tools, predictive modeling, and automation for medical engagement and evidence generation. Lead change management initiatives and upskill teams on new methodologies, technologies and organizational capabilities.
