About The Position

Radionetics Oncology is seeking a Director, Molecular Imaging to serve as a subject matter expert in nuclear imaging technologies, supporting the development and execution of radiopharmaceutical programs. This individual will lead imaging strategy, oversee image quality control and workflow processes, and provide expert review and interpretation of imaging data across preclinical and clinical studies. This role is highly cross-functional, partnering closely with R&D, Clinical Development, and external collaborators to ensure imaging data is accurate, reproducible, and aligned with program objectives. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in nuclear imaging modalities and a strong track record of driving operational excellence in imaging workflows.

Requirements

  • Degree in Medical Physics, Imaging Sciences, Nuclear Medicine or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in nuclear imaging, with increasing responsibility in industry or translational research settings
  • Deep expertise in nuclear imaging modalities (PET, SPECT) and associated data analysis techniques
  • Strong experience with imaging QC, data review, and workflow/process optimization
  • Experience working with CROs and managing external partnerships
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex imaging data into actionable insights
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, collaborative biotech environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with radiopharmaceuticals as diagnostics and/or therapeutics in oncology applications strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the internal expert in nuclear imaging technologies (e.g., PET, SPECT), guiding imaging strategy across programs
  • Lead and coordinate all aspects of internal dosimetry and quantitative imaging analysis in the discovery and development of radiopharmaceutical imaging and/or therapeutic agents.
  • Lead the review, interpretation, and quality control (QC) of imaging data to ensure scientific rigor and consistency
  • Establish and optimize imaging workflows, processes, and standards across internal and external studies
  • Partner with preclinical and clinical teams to design imaging protocols aligned with study objectives and endpoints
  • Oversee and optimize image data quality control, including standardization processes, calibration, and quality assurance, aligned with current industry guidelines.
  • Collaborate with CROs and external imaging vendors to ensure quality, timelines, and deliverables are met
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and data quality
  • Contribute to regulatory documentation and submissions involving imaging data as needed
  • Mentor and develop team members as the function grows
