The Director MID Business Growth will be responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives and expanding market share within the McKesson Integrated Delivery (MID) segment. This role will focus on identifying new business opportunities , developing innovative solutions, and fostering strong client relationships to achieve ambitious growth targets.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 9+ years of professional experience and 1+ years of supervisory and/or management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 9+ years of progressive experience in business development, strategic growth, or a related commercial role within the healthcare or pharmaceutical distribution industry highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful growth strategies, particularly within integrated delivery networks or health systems.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales or growth targets and building strong client relationships.
  • Deep understanding of the specialty pharmaceutical market, distribution channels, and healthcare economic trends.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
  • Ability to travel about 70%.
  • Home office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business growth strategies for the MID segment, aligned with overall company objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, emerging trends, and potential partnerships within the specialty care distribution landscape.
  • Lead the development and implementation of new service offerings, programs, and solutions tailored to the needs of MID clients.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams, existing clients, and prospective partners.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decision-making and identify areas for differentiation.
  • Develop compelling business cases, financial models, and presentations to secure internal approvals and external commitments for growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of growth strategies.
  • Negotiate and finalize complex business agreements and contracts with new and existing clients.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business growth, identifying areas for improvement and optimizing strategies.
  • Represent McKesson Specialty Care Distribution at industry conferences, events, and client meetings.
