WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH You will collaborate closely with other merchants across Global, Geo, and Territory teams, as well as work cross-functionally with Planning and Brand Marketing. Additionally, you will partner with finance, operations, and insights/analytics teams, leveraging business reports with both quantitative and qualitative data on sales, inventory, and consumer behavior. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON As Running FW Merchandising Director on the APLA Merchandising team, you will use marketplace data and consumer insights to guide decisions and create seasonal plans that best meet consumer needs. Drawing from both qualitative and quantitative insights, you will develop seasonal assortment strategies, identify opportunities for future growth, and ensure sustainable, differentiated success in the marketplace. Your responsibilities include setting the APLA Running Footwear assortment strategy, which demands strong retail expertise, analytical skills, a consumer-focused approach, and the ability to influence various teams and functions. You will take an entrepreneurial approach to establish a vision, set direction, and provide clarity. You will also manage a team of three merchants, keeping them aligned with strategy and business priorities for Running and supporting their individual development. Collaboration with your AP counterpart is essential to align assortment strategies across FW & AP and across Men’s & Women’s Running. This role is in Beaverton, Oregon but works within the Asia Pacific and Latin America geography, whose main goal is to represent and serve the voice of the consumers across our five territories (Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia & India, Pacific & Latin America).
