About The Position

In this role you will be a part of the Inventory Management team that brings the financial strategy of our product vision to life by managing the largest financial asset of the company: our product itself. As Director, Merchandise Planning, you and your team will drive the success of multiple product categories by creating a financial roadmap and marrying it to brand strategy and customer needs. You are passionate about using your qualitative and quantitative skillset in a fashion retail environment and find joy and creativity in forecasting and financial planning. You are curious, innovative, and focused on executing an amazing customer experience while delivering/exceeding financial targets. Requirements

  • Deep technical knowledge of Excel, systems savvy
  • Believe in the Power of Team; builds constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners
  • Possess strong business acumen and strategic agility, able to handle many projects simultaneously while effectively prioritizing workload
  • Demonstrate strong listening, written and oral communication skills, able to present ideas and directions that rally others to action
  • Evaluate sometimes complex situations using multiple sources of information (internal and external sources)

Responsibilities

  • Manage the financial success of several global departments by meeting or exceeding sales, gross margin, gross margin return on investment and inventory turn goals
  • Collaborate with Merchandising to develop and communicate a comprehensive strategy that aligns future financial and product opportunities by division and department
  • Identify risks and opportunities to business and recommend strategies to achieve financial goals
  • Present financial plans, forecasts and strategies in key meetings
  • Manage and support the career development process to ensure job satisfaction, retention and future talent development, with timely feedback and direction to foster rapid skill development and performance improvement
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with members of cross functional team (Merchandising, Visual, Production, Distribution, Planning and Company Planning), aligning on prioritization and expectations around key deliverables
  • Responsible for planning, budget, and end results; set policies and strategic direction for area/team
