About The Position

The Director of Merchandise Planning at Levi's is responsible for leading the Ecommerce Planning Organization, developing strategic category plans, and achieving financial results that align with the brand's vision. This role involves collaboration with various teams, including Merchandising, Finance, and Marketing, to create and manage financial plans, inventory strategies, and sales forecasts. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to interpret data to drive business decisions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Merchandise Financial Planning, Buying, Demand Forecasting, Inventory Management, Store Allocation, Production Planning, Sales and Operations Planning, and Planning Systems & Tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 8+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to interpret meaningful themes from quantitative data.
  • Balance process needs and timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Merchandising to develop strategic category plans and targets to promote brand vision.
  • Collaborate with Finance teams to build Annual Financial Plans.
  • Create top-down seasonal financial plans that support category strategies.
  • Build strategies around identified risks and opportunities in the business.
  • Lead the team to build bottom-up sales and inventory style plans that achieve line productivity and support financial targets.
  • Present and gain understanding from Regional leadership during the Investment Review process.
  • Manage the Monthly OTB process, including top-down forecasts and reconciling bottom-up forecasts.
  • Establish and forecast weekly Store KPIs including Traffic, Conversion, and UPT.
  • Guide in-season business by pulling financial levers, modeling promotional opportunities, and managing markdowns.
  • Partner with the Allocation team to ensure seasonal plans are supported with appropriate inventory.
  • Manage the Monthly demand process.
  • Support Store Openings and remodels.
  • Map out workload that supports the GTM (go-to-market calendar) and essential milestone meetings.
