About The Position

The Director of Medical Group Operations oversees all aspects of the delivery of care throughout assigned medical group sites, working in conjunction with Site Management Staff. This role ensures that appropriate service level standards and goals are implemented and maintained, and that processes, policies, procedures, and systems are in place to support required staffing levels, productivity, quality, compliance, patient safety, privacy, and satisfaction. The Director collaborates with various departments to enhance operations and competitive advantage at all medical group sites, directs financial performance, and formulates corrective action plans to optimize site success. This position also involves strategic planning, operational initiatives, and maintaining compliance with regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years progressively responsible management level experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of care delivery at assigned medical group sites.
  • Ensure service level standards and goals are implemented and maintained.
  • Work with Site Management Staff to orient site staff to medical group and hospital policies.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Informatics, Marketing, IT, and other departments to enhance operations.
  • Direct financial performance of assigned medical group sites.
  • Monitor ongoing financial performance and analyze operational metrics.
  • Develop annual operating and capital budgets in consultation with Executive Director and Physicians.
  • Provide guidance to Practice Managers and Site Supervisors.
  • Facilitate cooperative relationships between site staff, Physicians, and departments.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Assist in strategic planning for the Medical Group.
  • Contribute to standardization efforts and implement tactical plans.
  • Evaluate performance of Management Site Staff.
  • Recruit for MG Management positions and provide leadership and training.
