Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced Director, Materials and Process Engineering. This role will be responsible for overseeing the Program Engineering teams in Pueblo, CO; Spokane, WA; and Santa Fe Springs, CA, The Pueblo Dyno Test Lab Department and the Carbon R&D Department in Pueblo. The three Carbon sites are referred to as Associate Manufacturing Facilities (AMF) as part of Troy, OH Landing Systems. The D-CE and staff provide timely and effective engineering support for production programs at all three AMF sites while liaising with Carbon Engineering, AMF Operational and Quality teams, Collins research Centers, Troy Engineering Teams, Troy Value Stream Teams and pertinent suppliers. The D-CE and staff own the responsibility to manage and/or oversee all technical activities related to carbon brake production product integrity, brake refurbishment programs, product/process investigations, ECNs, MRB support, developing and implementing 3-site standard work, providing day-to-day manufacturing support, qualifying New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, the qualification of new raw material, process-product changes and equipment prior to production implementation, production/engineering Dyno testing and all Carbon R&D activities including technology strategic planning, and the development of new technologies, designs and processes to ensure future competitiveness. The D-CE and direct reports plan, organize, direct and control all departmental operations and personnel while meeting safety, product integrity, quality, on-time delivery, export, financial, and continuous improvement goals.
