Seattle University's Master of Arts in Couples in Family Therapy (MACFT) invites applications for the position of Program Director at the rank of associate or full clinical professor. This is a 12-month term faculty position (9-month faculty position with required administrative duties during the entire fiscal year). Successful applicants will have a demonstrated record of high-quality teaching, scholarship, and service. The appointment begins on September 1, 2025. The MACFT program has a strong commitment to social justice and training compassionate and ethical couples and family therapists. The 78 student, two year, in-person Commission on the Accreditation of Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE) accredited program includes 3 full-time faculty, 1 part-time faculty who is the clinical coordinator, several affiliate (adjunct) faculty, and 2 part time staff members. The program director administers and is responsible for the overall operation of the MACFT program, including development, management, and assessment of the curriculum and related resources; training and supervision of faculty; and ensuring compliance with all COAMFTE standards. They will work collaboratively with the program's clinical coordinator, program coordinator, and administrative assistant. As a faculty, the Director will teach MACFT courses and is expected to provide appropriate service to the Department, College, and University.
