About The Position

We are looking for a Director, Marketing Communications to join our Marketing team. In this role, you will be a strategic leader responsible for translating the Annual Marketing Plan into a dynamic, integrated Marketing Communications Calendar that drives brand growth and commercial impact. This role brings marketing strategies to life by leading the development and execution of comprehensive communications initiatives supporting product launches, clinical studies, corporate campaigns, trade shows, and digital media programs. Partnering closely with the product marketing teams, the clinical marketing team and the physician training team, the Director ensures alignment, consistency, and excellence across all marketing communications. This leader champions corporate branding initiatives, safeguards brand integrity, and ensures that every external-facing asset reflects and strengthens the company’s identity and value proposition. Through cross-functional collaboration, creative direction, and data-driven execution, the Director plays a critical role in elevating brand presence, supporting revenue objectives, and advancing the organization’s strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • A minimum of 8+ years of marketing communications experience, preferably in Medical Device companies. Vascular devices experience highly valued but not required. (Masters may substitute for one year of experience, PhD or MD may substitute for two years of experience).
  • Experience managing outside agencies and vendors in delivery of highly complex executions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the annual marketing execution calendar aligned to the annual marketing plan, ensuring strategic initiatives translate into coordinated, high-impact execution.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to transform strategic content into integrated communication campaigns, advertising, and promotional materials—managing initiatives from planning through execution and performance measurement to drive meaningful market impact.
  • Lead the development of sophisticated digital and social media campaigns aligned to business strategy, coordinating internal teams and external partners to deliver innovative, data-driven programs.
  • Lead and oversee execution of the annual tradeshow plan, negotiating participation terms and sponsorships, achieving high impact and awareness through design and production of booth and marketing materials, supervising workshops and symposiums and coordinating participation by sales and marketing for booth coverage.
  • Oversee all digital marketing initiatives—including email campaigns, online advertising, webinars, surveys, and web content—from concept through measurement, continuously optimizing performance and engagement.
  • Serve as an integrative project leader, aligning cross-functional and external resources to deliver best-in-class execution across PR, digital, trade shows, print, and field communications.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the development of corporate communications strategies, messaging frameworks, and deliverables that reflect brand integrity and advance organizational priorities.
  • Manage and develop team members while overseeing vendor partnerships to ensure operational excellence, accountability, and high-quality outcomes. Act as the primary liaison between corporate stakeholders and agency partners.
  • Oversee printing, distribution, and inventory management for product communications, ensuring accuracy, quality, and efficient resource utilization.
  • Maintain and continuously enhance the corporate website and broader digital presence to ensure accuracy, compliance, user engagement, and competitive differentiation.
  • Safeguard brand standards and ensure adherence to corporate style guidelines and quality system procedures across all marketing communications.
  • Develop and manage MarCom project budgets with fiscal discipline, aligning resources to strategic priorities and measurable outcomes.
  • Negotiate vendor timelines, scope, and budgets to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, responsibly, and in alignment with business objectives.
  • Establish clear project goals, milestones, and performance metrics; provide data-driven reporting and insights to key stakeholders.
  • Train and equip sales and marketing teams with communication tools and messaging that strengthen field effectiveness and consistency.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement emerging communication platforms and technologies to enhance reach, engagement, and competitive advantage.
  • Ensure all marketing materials comply with corporate and regulatory standards, managing review and approval processes within MasterControl and maintaining rigorous revision control.
  • Lead the marketing materials review process with diligence and transparency, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • In accordance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations, hire, develop, reward, and, when necessary, address performance matters with fairness and consistency.
  • Foster a high-performance team culture by setting clear goals, providing development opportunities and candid feedback, addressing concerns proactively, and resolving issues constructively.
