SUMMARY The Director of Manufacturing is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and communicating of all processes that directly related to the manufacturing process in the plant. This person also oversees the quality of product ensuring client satisfaction, acts as a liaison between the departments and manufacturing, and the customer, and manages the operations within the facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 12 plus years related experience

  • Experience with supply chain management in a sizeable organization
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior senior level manufacturing management experience

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all internal and external operations supplying parts to the main product line.
  • Manage multiple internal manufacturing departments providing components to the main assembly floor.
  • Manage the activity surrounding several outsourced suppliers.
  • Manage the procurement, creation, and supply of all parts, components, and sub-assemblies.
  • Manage the Purchasing department and component planning groups.
  • Work with the Management team and key employees from all departments to develop and implement a best practices supply chain manufacturing operation.
  • Help manage a company-wide material procurement, planning, and scheduling flow of raw materials, finished goods, production coordination, and logistics for multiple facilities.
  • Responsible for deploying lean manufacturing principles as it pertains to the management of the supply chain.
  • Responsible for initiating cost reduction and improved quality efforts through proper supplier selection and management.
