About The Position

As the Director of Luxury Sales, you will lead a remote team of phone-based luxury sales agents specializing in high-end resale items, including handbags, watches, fine jewelry, and accessories. The role is focused on developing long-term, trust-based relationships with high-net-worth individuals to drive new customer relationships, increase sales, gain a robust network of referrals, and build a portfolio of luxury clients. This position also requires a strong focus on leveraging data analytics and technology to optimize client engagement, refine sales strategies, and drive revenue growth. We are looking for someone who is able to work a hybrid shift with at least 1-2 days a week onsite in our Carlsbad, CA location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or Communications or equivalent professional experience in sales, business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of success in phone-based or remote sales.
  • Proven experience growing revenue through new prospective clients.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, including managing and developing a remote sales team.
  • Experience leading teams in highly-commissioned incentivized environments (50%+).
  • Demonstrated success managing high-net-worth client relationships and meeting sales quotas.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in CRM software (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite to manage customer interactions and team performance.
  • In-depth knowledge of luxury goods markets (handbags, watches, fine jewelry, etc.) and trends.
  • Strong understanding of high-end customer service and a deep commitment to delivering personalized experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, lead, motivate, and mentor a remote team of luxury sales agents, ensuring they meet and exceed sales goals while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
  • Track and analyze sales performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and develop customized coaching to improve client engagement and conversion.
  • Develop and implement innovative sales strategies that capitalize on data insights, aiming to increase revenue and drive customer acquisition.
  • Build a strong network of influencers, industry experts, and potential clients to ensure ongoing growth in the luxury resale market.
  • Spearhead the implementation and optimization of a sophisticated CRM system, ensuring effective use of data analytics to segment clients by behavior, predict needs, and automate outreach.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including Data Science & Analytics, Technology, Retail, Customer Experience and other sales teams, to create data-driven insights that help prioritize high-value customers and tailor outreach strategies for different client segments.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design campaigns that are aligned with customer behavior trends and use data to personalize outreach.
  • Build and maintain long-term, personalized relationships with high-net-worth clients, offering bespoke services for their luxury resale needs.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, focusing on repeat business, referrals, and upselling, while ensuring that client satisfaction and loyalty remain at the forefront.
