About The Position
The Director of Loan Originations is a senior leadership position responsible for driving the growth and strategic direction of our Community Development Financial Institution's (CDFI) lending portfolio. This role oversees the Loan Originations team across a nine-state geography, focusing on expanding our impact through innovative lending solutions and strategic partnerships in underserved communities. Job Purpose To lead and manage the Loan Originations team to achieve portfolio growth objectives, develop strategic referral relationships, ensure high-quality customer service and technical assistance for borrowers, and represent the organization as an industry leader in CDFI lending.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in business development for a community development lender
- Strong leadership and team motivation abilities
- Expertise in CDFI loan structuring and risk management
- Capacity to analyze market trends to adapt or create loan products
- Industry representation experience at conferences
- Effective communication skills for marketing and advocacy efforts
- Experience managing multi-state lending operations
- Proven track record in developing referral relationships with CDFIs and housing finance agencies
