About The Position

Requirements

• Master of Library Science, Master of Information Science, or a Master's degree with at least 18 graduate credits in Library Science coursework from an accredited institution.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Capacity for collaborative leadership and ability to work with various stakeholders.
• Commitment to advancing the institution and creatively utilizing available resources.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, ERPs (Colleague, Banner), and specialized databases.
• Five to seven years of library administrative experience.

• Earned PhD or EdD in higher education administration or related field from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Administer Morris Library programs, personnel, budgeting, and resource allocations.
• Create, implement, and assess Morris Library's strategic visioning initiatives and marketing plans.
• Design short- and long-term plans to improve services for students, faculty, and other constituents.
• Oversee all library operations, including collection development, reference services, information literacy instruction, and building space planning.
• Facilitate campus and community-wide affordability initiatives, including open education resources and vendor contracts.
• Serve as librarian when staffing needs arise.
• Participate on institutional committees such as President's Council and Academic Cabinet.
• Plan and oversee learning opportunities and professional development workshops for the college community.
