About The Position
Under the direction of the Executive Dean of Learning, the Director, Library Services, leads and manages library services and information services District-wide to support the academic and research needs of students, faculty, and staff and to provide technical assistance on instructional support issues. The role involves strategic planning, resource management including digital literacy and open educational resources (OER), and implementation of modern library technologies to enhance learning and research across the District. Work requires the use of independent judgment, prioritizing while working from broad institutional and divisional policies and general objectives. Communication is continuous between the division, industry partners, and specialized agencies.
