About The Position

The Director of Learning & Talent Solutions will lead the learning and talent solutions organizations within The Walt Disney Studios. This pivotal role will report directly to the VP of HRBP & L&TS and will focus on both the learning and talent solutions portfolio, particularly catering to our Creative clients. The Director will be responsible for understanding the development needs of our talent and overseeing performance management processes, including calibration and feedback. A key aspect of this role involves driving our succession strategy in collaboration with HR and the business, which includes identifying successors, establishing development plans, tracking talent progress, and innovating organization-wide learning initiatives that align with business needs for employees, leaders, and executives. In addition, the Director will establish productive working relationships with segment and enterprise functional counterparts, such as HR Business Partners, DEI, Workforce Insights, and the L&TS Center of Excellence, to facilitate progress on various initiatives. The role requires a deep understanding of workforce data and trends to craft strategies that address the evolving needs of a complex workforce. The Director will also be tasked with developing a comprehensive learning and talent strategy that supports business goals and addresses the needs of employees and leaders alike. Key responsibilities include leading a team of four to ensure consistency and customization across various segments, designing and implementing initiatives aligned with studio strategy, and collaborating with Enterprise L&TS teams to prioritize global employee needs. The Director will also develop learning and development initiatives that span the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to leadership development, and will be responsible for talent solutions, including leadership transitions and executive coaching. Furthermore, the role involves partnering with the Data/Insights organization to define key metrics and utilize data to influence learning and talent strategies across the organization.
