About The Position
The Director of Laboratory Services is responsible for fostering an environment of professionalism, clinical and service excellence and advancement in collaboration with other interdisciplinary leaders to achieve seamless quality of care. This position is responsible for planning and coordinating Laboratory Services throughout the hospital in accordance with The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, College of American Pathologists (CAP) standards and local, state & federal laws.Is ultimately responsible for all facets of laboratory performance, quality, safety, service, budget, policy and procedures and quality improvement activities. Must be able to communicate vision and leadership through interpersonal skills with staff members. A high degree of competence in organizational and strategic agility, customer focus, developing direct reports and others, managerial courage and building effective teams is expected. This position requires a transformational leader that role models the values and culture of BHSF where our focus is on quality/safety, service, knowledge and diversity. Estimated salary range for this position is $115444.27 - $150077.55 / year depending on experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree required.
- Experience in personnel management, budgeting, report preparation and lab services planning/operations.
- Minimum of three years progressive responsibility and experience in hospital laboratory management.
- Proficient in laboratory information systems & PC applications.
- Licensed in appropriate discipline.
- Minimum Required Experience: 10 Years
Nice To Haves
- MBA or other advanced healthcare management degree ASCP or equivalent preferred.
