The role encompasses various responsibilities including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes tailored for Laboratory Services. A key aspect of the job is to provide detailed financial analysis that aids in strategic decision-making and enhances operational performance. Additionally, the position requires overseeing the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting to ensure accuracy and timeliness. The candidate will also be responsible for auditing and monitoring billing processes to guarantee completeness, accuracy, and timely reimbursement. Collaboration with Hospital Billing, Outreach Billing, and Managed Care teams is essential to resolve payment issues and optimize revenue cycle performance. The role includes partnering with Finance Leaders within Atlantic Health to align laboratory financial goals with broader organizational objectives, maintaining and optimizing the laboratory chargemaster in coordination with relevant departments, and identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance financial operations and cost efficiency. Compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to billing and financial reporting is also a critical responsibility. Finally, the candidate will serve as a strategic advisor to Laboratory leadership on financial matters and business operations.
