About The Position

The Director of Lab Services Operations at Thermo Fisher Scientific is responsible for overseeing Site Services Operations across multiple locations, ensuring high levels of support, service, and collaboration. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences or a related field.
• 12+ years of relevant experience in laboratory operations or a related field.
• 5+ years of management experience in a laboratory or clinical research environment.
• Strong leadership and change management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of laboratory processes and regulatory requirements.

• Experience in clinical trials and bioanalytical operations.
• Familiarity with software used in laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Site Services Operations across multiple sites including Sample Management, Materials Management, and Technical Training.
• Lead cross-functional teams to meet key performance and lab metrics.
• Review workload metrics to manage staffing levels and advise senior management on future needs.
• Act as the department contact during sponsor audits and ensure departments are audit ready.
• Manage staff including interviewing, professional development, performance management, and employee counseling.
• Participate in establishing strategic plans and objectives with senior management.
• Drive continuous process improvement and customer satisfaction at the site.
• Perform financial analyses to improve cost efficiency of support departments.
• Provide business updates to senior leadership and set operational standards.
