About The Position

As a Director IT here at Honeywell, you'll set the strategic direction and ensure the successful delivery of our technology projects. Collaborating closely with senior executives and cross-functional teams, you'll align IT project strategies with our business objectives, driving innovation. You will manage planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring our projects meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations. You will report directly to our Sr Director IT, and you will work out of our US Aerospace locations, preferably, Phoenix or Chralotte, on a Hybrid work schedule. As Director IT, you will lead the end‑to‑end transformation of Source‑to‑Pay (S2P) processes—including Sourcing, Procurement, and Accounts Payable—as part of a multi‑year SAP S/4HANA implementation within Honeywell Aerospace Technologies. This role is accountable for modernizing global procurement operations by harmonizing processes, driving automation, and ensuring full compliance with Aerospace & Defense (A&D) regulatory requirements, while aligning technology delivery with enterprise business objectives.

Requirements

  • 12 or more years of experience in IT project management, including at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mentor a high-performing team.
  • A proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects, meeting quality, budget, and timeline expectations.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as PMP, ScrumMaster, or similar.
  • Demonstrated success in driving digital transformation and strategic IT initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of IT project managers, providing mentorship, leadership, and guidance.
  • Collaborate closely with senior executives and cross-functional teams to define and execute IT project strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Shape and manage the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations
  • Lead the blueprinting, design, and deployment of S2P processes in SAP S/4HANA, replacing legacy workflows with industry best practices.
  • Drive global process harmonization across regions and business units to establish standardized, scalable procurement operations aligned with Honeywell business objectives.
  • Lead change management & adoption of the process by working with the Process leaders, functional leaders & executives.
  • Ensure all S2P system designs and integrations fully comply with ITAR, FAR/DFARS, DPAS, and CMMC requirements.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Cybersecurity, and Internal Audit teams to embed regulatory controls, auditability, and segregation of duties into S/4HANA and integrated platforms.
  • Design and implement digital workflows that automatically manage complex subcontract flow downs and compliance obligations for U.S. Government and classified programs.
  • Ensure traceability and enforcement of contractual clauses throughout the procurement lifecycle.
  • Oversee the integration of SAP S/4HANA with the broader SAP ecosystem, including: Strategic Sourcing, Contracts, Supplier Collaboration Secure, compliant cloud operations supporting regulated A&D workloads
  • Drive measurable improvements in supplier responsiveness, cost control, and delivery reliability.
