About The Position

The IT Security Director is responsible for overseeing the organization's overall cybersecurity under direct supervision of the AVP/CIO. Provides vision and leadership for developing and supporting cybersecurity initiatives. Directs the planning and monitoring of enterprise IT cybersecurity systems, business operations, and facility defenses against security breaches and vulnerability issues. This individual is also responsible for auditing existing systems, while directing the administration of cybersecurity policies, activities, and standards. Leads strategic security planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing defense initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future security technologies using a risk-based assessment methodology. Promote and oversee strategic security relationships between internal resources and external entities, including government, vendors, and partner organizations.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with experience in computer science or a related security field.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience with IT Security proven experience in the architecture of secure solutions in healthcare, and the implementation of cyber solutions and standard IT security methodologies.
  • Obtained or working toward CISSP certification.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity program development, management and implementation; and associated laws, regulations, policies, standards, tools, and processes.
