About The Position

The Director, Information Systems is responsible for providing vision, strategy, and leadership for our organizations Information Systems team. The Director is responsible for development and stewardship of the Information Systems multi-million-dollar annual operating and capital budgets. This position serves as the organizations network security officer and is responsible for the development of controls, and policies to ensure compliance with Information security governance, directives, and industry best practices. The Director is responsible for systems optimization, data Integrations and reporting and overall IS service delivery. The Director of Information Systems will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and other Senior leaders to ensure alignment of IS initiatives with the Organizations Strategic plans, to include development and execution of five-year strategic and financial plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or Healthcare Informatics required.
  • 5 years' experience in Information Systems management, with a focus on Healthcare Informatics and IT Operations.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare Information Systems, including EHRs, clinical data analytics, health information exchange (HIE), and interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
  • In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure, network security, cloud computing, data privacy, and regulatory compliance in the healthcare industry.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree, CHCIO, CISSP, CPHIMS, ITIL certifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives, ensuring effective utilization of information systems.
  • Lead and inspire a diverse team of professionals, which includes Senior Operations, Systems Analyst, Informaticist. Fosters a culture of innovation, teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and external partners, to align technology initiatives with business needs.
  • Oversee the integration and interoperability of healthcare informatics systems, such as electronic health records (EHRs), clinical decision support systems, and telehealth platforms, to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Drive digital transformation efforts, leveraging emerging technologies and data analytics to enhance operational efficiency, patient care, and outcomes.
  • Oversee the selection, implementation, and optimization of information systems, ensuring their reliability, security, and scalability.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, standards, and best practices to ensure compliance with industry regulations and security protocols.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements in healthcare informatics, and regulatory changes, advising the organization on potential impacts and opportunities.
