A Director of HITS who excels in this role will lead the hospital’s IT strategy and operations- ensuring technology enables high-quality, efficient, and secure patient care.

Requirements

  • Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Health Informatics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Health Informatics, healthcare IT, or clinical systems is required.
  • Experience supporting Electronic Health Records (HER/EMR)systems is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous management experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
  • Oversees departmental budget and financial performance.
  • Ensures regulatory and compliance adherence .
  • Leads hiring, development, and performance management.
  • Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.
