About The Position

The Director of Investor Relations will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the global investor relations strategy for a leading diversified manufacturer. This position is designed for a seasoned professional who will work closely with the CFO, CEO, Executive Board, and other members of the executive leadership team. The primary responsibility of this role is to facilitate effective two-way communication between the company and the financial community, ensuring that the company's strategic value proposition is accurately conveyed to investors and stakeholders. In this capacity, the Director will serve as the primary corporate spokesperson and relationship manager for the investment community, as well as for financial media stakeholders. This role requires a deep understanding of investor perceptions and expectations, and the ability to provide insightful feedback and coaching to the leadership team. The Director will lead the global investor relations program, which includes developing strong working relationships with existing and potential shareholders, and collaborating on company decisions that impact shareholder value and the company's reputation. The successful candidate will be responsible for educating and updating investors and analysts by creating balanced and consistent investment messaging in partnership with senior leadership. This includes leading the collection, analysis, and presentation of feedback regarding investors' perceptions, brokerage analysts' positions, stock price movements, and ownership analysis. The Director will also collaborate with various departments, including Public Relations, Marketing, and Internal Communication, to ensure a cohesive communication strategy. Additionally, the role involves speaking on behalf of the company at investment presentations and meetings, and responding to external requests for financial and strategic information in a timely and accurate manner. This position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for both office and home-based work, but candidates must be located in the Greater Detroit Metro area. Relocation assistance is available for those not currently residing in the area.
