Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
7+ years of experience in insurance and/or investment accounting environments
5+ years of experience in securities processing or investment operations
2+ years of leadership or people management experience
Strong knowledge of investment products, including fixed income, equities, derivatives, and real estate assets
Solid understanding of STAT and GAAP accounting principles
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
Proven ability to lead initiatives, solve problems, and drive results

Nice To Haves

Experience with investment accounting systems (e.g., PAM, CAMRA, Maximis) preferred

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the Investment Operations team, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management to drive a high-performing, engaged team
Oversee day-to-day investment accounting operations across a complex portfolio, including securities, derivatives, commercial mortgage loans, and real estate
Ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions, corporate actions, cash activity, and reconciliations in alignment with regulatory and company standards
Partner with investment and finance teams to support both front and back office operations, ensuring seamless coordination and issue resolution
Deliver accurate financial reporting across STAT, GAAP, Tax, and Management bases, including journal entries and general ledger support
Support financial statement preparation, audits, and reporting for senior leadership and external stakeholders
Identify opportunities to improve processes, implement solutions, and enhance operational efficiency
Lead or contribute to strategic initiatives and special projects critical to the organization
