General Description: Under general direction, and in collaboration with hospital and medical staff leadership; plans, organizes and directs the clinical and non-clinical operations of the Interventional Radiology service-line, including, but not limited to: Neurointerventional and Body/Trauma. Essential Functions/Duties: Plans, organizes and directs the clinical and non-clinical operations associated with providing comprehensive Interventional Radiology Services in an academic-affiliated acute-care treatment facility. Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure accomplishment of service-line goals and objectives. Actively contributes to the enforcement and achievement of all required accreditation, professional practice and/or governmental standards. Develops and oversees continuing education and training programs to enhance staff skills and qualifications. Supports academic and clinical training affiliations to promote recruitment and career field opportunities. Develops and implements annual and long-term strategic plans and budgets (capital, operating, staffing). Prepares and submits business proposals/proformas to improve the capability, efficiency and quality of the service-line. Establishes and monitors productivity and quality assurance targets. Prepares and reviews employee evaluations and personnel actions. Maintains service-line responsibility and approval authority for financial, operational and personnel transactions. Evaluates clinical information systems and recommends changes for improvement.
