The Oncology Platform is a key business within the Peripheral Intervention (PI) business unit. The Interventional Radiology (IR) franchise is an important part of the Oncology business, providing a core portfolio of access and biopsy technologies that support clinical workflows across oncology, interventional radiology, and procedural care, including ports, core needle and bone biopsy products. This Director role is responsible for leading the Global IR Francise. They will be responsible for driving strategic marketing initiatives with a focus on delivering differentiated value and driving global growth. The role includes direct management of a team of marketing professionals and indirect leadership of cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities include identifying market expansion opportunities, developing competitive strategies, leading new product and indication launches, and partnering with regional marketing teams to achieve global revenue objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in global marketing within the medical device industry with a consistent track record of high performance and results
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated success in fast-paced environments, managing multiple tasks and stakeholders effectively.
  • Results-driven and action-oriented with a track record of delivering outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience working with international teams and willingness to travel globally.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with customers and key influencers.

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a technical field required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the VP/GM, to define, drive the strategy and deliver results for the IR Franchise. This includes assessing competitive landscapes, identifying portfolio opportunities, and crafting positioning to drive business growth.
  • Oversee innovation and sustaining projects from development through commercialization, leading cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution and delivery of key milestones. Collaborate closely with country and regional marketing teams.
  • Develop robust commercialization strategies based on customer insights, pricing models, target segmentation, and messaging to ensure successful product launches.
  • Build and maintain global market models to identify and monitor growth opportunities. Partner with platform and regional teams to analyze data and uncover trends.
  • Act as a subject matter expert across stakeholder groups, ensuring alignment and clarity on project needs and workflows.
  • Own the project portfolio and roadmap, managing all aspects of the product lifecycle-from business case development to end-of-life planning.
  • Partner with business development to evaluate potential acquisition or investment opportunities.
  • Analyze the financial implications of complex product and market decisions, including profitability and long-term viability.
  • Responsible for Demand Governance to ensure consistent supply and capacity planning. Serves as key liaison with all regions to deeply understand demand and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
  • Leads long term demand planning through strong collaboration with the regions, supply chain and operations to ensure appropriate representation of the long-term demand needs of the business.
  • Lead market research initiatives to generate customer-driven insights that inform strategic decisions.
