What does a Director, Integrated Work Systems do at Swire Coca-Cola? Lead the development and deployment of best practice operating methodologies inside the Integrated Work System (IWS) framework to improve all aspects of supply chain operations. Establish corporate IWS pillar structures including: Education and Training; Health, Safety, and Environmental; Organization; Autonomous Maintenance; and Initiative Management. Partner with siter leadership teams to enable phased progression from current state toward world class supply chain performance through the establishment of local pillar structures and targeted action plans. Lead a team of continuous improvement managers and process engineers in site activation activities for IWS. Functionally leading plant continuous improvement managers in developing local site resource capability in IWS methodologies. Ensure that appropriate operating culture, capabilities, and business processes are developed to enable manufacturing operations to perform at optimal cost and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM or business related field required and
  • Master's Degree preferred or
  • equivalent preferred
  • 8+ years leadership experience in three or more of the following areas: safety, quality, operations management, HR, or continuous improvement, required
  • 2+ years leadership experience as a leader of people leaders required
  • knowledge of IWS methodology
  • KO Kore and ISO quality standards in a soft drink environment
  • P&L, finance modeling, and business case development

Responsibilities

  • Lead the long-term strategy for IWS deployment for SCCU, including timeline, resourcing, sequencing, scheduling, and training. Develop a team to deploy IWS within manufacturing in alignment with IWS purpose and intended results.
  • Drive deployment of IWS through direct team onsite in partnership with local teams through the implementation of daily management systems and run-to-target methodologies. Partner with site leadership in identifying and training local pillar leaders and in establishing a high performing organization.
  • Owner of the Leadership Pillar within IWS, serves as functional IWS leader for Plant Managers and Continuous Improvement Managers to drive IWS integration and the development and sustainment of the local pillar leaders’ and frontline teams’ knowledge and capability.
  • Work with functional leaders from across the organization (HSE, Quality, Finance, HR, Planning, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Transportation, and Sales Operations, etc.) and corporate pillar owners to integrate IWS, according to the established schedule and strategy, into ongoing business operations and budgets. Participate with these leaders to ensure IWS is sustained and becomes ‘how we do business’.
  • Conduct IWS phase audits and partner with site leaders/leadership teams in developing incremental plans for phase progression, with focus on actions that will eliminate specific areas of loss. Support frontline teams in developing and executing these plans for improvement with the support of their leadership.
  • Work with Supply Chain Leadership Team to select and train steering committee members and corporate pillar leaders on IWS methodologies and practices. Establish regular intervals for corporate pillar meetings and steering committee reviews in partnership with ENT pillar owner.
