About The Position

This role is ideal for a cybersecurity leader who brings deep technical expertise while valuing cross‑functional collaboration—partnering closely with engineering, IT, manufacturing, affiliates, and global HQ to shape solutions, align priorities, and drive enterprise‑wide security outcomes. The Director, Infosec Protection Center owns the information security strategy for the North American market, leading governance, risk management, and security operations while influencing enterprise cybersecurity direction across business and technical teams. With high visibility to U.S. and Korean leadership, this role blends hands‑on security architecture experience with strategic leadership, offering the opportunity to build, evolve, and champion a comprehensive security program that protects critical systems, data, and operations at scale.

Requirements

  • Required experience as the head of one of the following (a) Enterprise security division (b) Security Ops.
  • Expert level knowledge in following (or related) Security tools: Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and Web filter.
  • Working knowledge of IT cybersecurity standards and regulations in US.
  • CISA, CISSP, CISM or similar certifications required.
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field required
  • Expert level knowledge of ISO27001 or ISO 27701 or NIST Cybersecurity Framework or CIS 18 controls.
  • Fifteen years of relative professional experience with twelve or more years in cyber security / IT security experience in medium to large enterprise required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SDLC practices and operational implementation preferred
  • Knowledge of security architecture and threat modeling as well as system security hardening practices and controls preferred

Responsibilities

  • Owns information security strategy, governance, risk management, and security operations for the U.S. market; serves as a business partner to affiliates (IT outsourcing, Plant, Sales) and reports to U.S. and Korean HQ leadership.
  • Leads and influences enterprise cybersecurity strategy cross‑functionally, aligning investments to protect critical information assets.
  • Builds and evolves the information security program and tooling to safeguard systems, applications, infrastructure, and processes within an outsourced IT environment.
  • Oversees information security risk management, incident response, and vendor risk programs; monitors incidents and reports status to executive stakeholders.
  • Provides regular security posture and risk reporting to Legal/Privacy, senior leadership, and the Board in support of enterprise risk management.
  • Ensures consistent application of security, privacy, compliance, and business continuity policies across all technology initiatives.
  • Defines and manages security risk, legal, and regulatory assessment processes, including remediation oversight and audit/regulatory engagement.
  • Monitors internal and external threat landscapes and advises stakeholders on mitigation actions using SIEM and threat intelligence insights.
  • Leads security strategy and initiatives aligned to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Embeds security‑by‑design and SDLC practices into IT operations and application development.
  • Leads, coaches, and develops security staff; manages resources, budget, and performance in alignment with company objectives and HR policy.
  • Partners with IT and business units to design and implement enterprise security architectures and controls.
  • Oversees selection, deployment, and management of security technologies and solutions.
  • Collaborates with affiliate cybersecurity providers and Korean parent company to align on an enterprise security vision.
  • Evangelizes the enterprise security program with executive leadership.
  • Holds executive authority for security policy, vendor selection, and annual budget development and execution.
