What You’ll Do: Manage large, high dollar and multi-year classified and unclassified contracting programs supporting science, research, and space-based systems to achieve positive return/results. Lead, motivate, mentor and train multi-functional contracting and acquisition teams to achieve high impact results/outcomes. Act as primary Contracts Advisor for BAE Systems SMS Space Systems through contract negotiation review and clearance authority. Review and prepare Requests for Bid Authority (RBA). Create, articulate and implement innovative contracting strategies. Analyze and interpret complex contracting language, terms, and conditions to achieve favorable negotiation outcomes. Build coalitions with United States Government (USG) customers, BAE program officials and executives. Synthesize large volumes of complex data and simplify and articulate information to non-contracting professionals. Serve as point of entry for synergy activities across SMS and other BAE Systems sector Intelligence Community (IC) contracting organizations, as well as space-based systems and components. Identify and implement process improvements and remove impediments to the success of the space systems portfolio. Prepare recruitment plans, retention plans, and succession management. Conduct Portfolio Training and Development including RBAs, lessons learned, best practices, acquisition reform, and streamlining initiatives. Identify, advocate and implement electronic business systems, AI and electronic tools. Lead strategic planning and engagement with USG customers, SCUs capture management and Govt Relations within the portfolio. Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule. Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment. Perform other duties as necessary. On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working four days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
