About The Position

Director II of Technology, Program Delivery Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. The Director of Technology Program Delivery is tasked with steering the direction of information system and programming efforts, emphasizing program delivery for technology initiatives. This role plays a pivotal part in guiding a high-performing Technology Program Management team and reports directly to the CIO of CarelonRx. The Director will strategize new initiatives while maintaining exemplary professional and customer service standards. This position requires collaboration with peers from the Elevance Health enterprise, business leaders, and various engineering disciplines to ensure strategic business alignment.

Requirements

  • Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 8 years of IT management experience, experience in function/area being managed, experience managing multiple tasks and projects; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background

Nice To Haves

  • 8+ years in Project/Portfolio Management and Technology Delivery in a healthcare environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in M&A integration activities.
  • Strong understanding of security, audit, and privacy standards, such as HIPAA, SOC, HITRUST, and URAC.
  • Proven ability to interface and collaborate with business stakeholders, clients, and senior leadership.
  • Extensive experience in Agile Project Management and related tools, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Previous experience with Specialty/Mail Order Pharmacy and Pharmacy Benefit Management.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with IT governance frameworks and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to progress to to a more senior level after a year, showcasing tech-savviness and leadership acumen.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and align program delivery for technology with strategic roadmap and blueprint activities.
  • Develop project plans and process documents to support effective program execution.
  • Facilitate project engagements to document technical requirements related to database, applications, integration, and infrastructure.
  • Manage project plans, dependencies, and budgets throughout the entire lifecycle.
  • Identify risks, create mitigation strategies, and resolve conflicts to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Remove roadblocks and make strategic decisions to ensure seamless project progression.
  • Oversee a large-scale program delivery team, managing a portfolio directly overseeing 20 people.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively at all levels, maintaining an executive presence.
  • Hire, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate the performance of a team of approximately 30 project management professionals in a delivery
