About The Position

Director I Technology - Active Directory Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within commuting distance from an office. The Director I Technology - Active Directory is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for Active Directory Services. The Director ensures end-to-end AD design, development, and operations, collaborating closely with IAM, Infrastructure (data center and cloud), and subsidiary teams. The role is accountable for secure, resilient, and scalable directory services across the enterprise. How you will make an impact: • Lead and manage all ETAS Directory Services functions: Architecture, Engineering, Operations, and Services Leadership. • Own the design, consolidation, and management of AD forests and domains, including schema upgrades, extension reviews, trust management, and functional level assessments. • Oversee AD object management (users, computers, groups, contacts), group policy standards, automation/script development, and privileged account management within ETAS (Enterprise Technology and Services) scope. • Direct operational activities: monitoring, reporting, incident response, backup/disaster recovery, and documentation for AD. • Manage a diverse team of both onshore and offshore resources, ensuring effective collaboration, communication, and performance across global locations. • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates the performance of direct reports. • Ensure associates have the tools, resources, and support needed to excel in their roles and deliver high-quality results. • Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with key business partners. • Partner with IAM, CISO, Infrastructure, and subsidiary teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of AD services. • Consult and inform other leaders on AD changes, incidents, and strategic initiatives impacting their domains. • Support mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and subsidiary integrations as they relate to ETAS Directory Services. • Ensure all ETAS AD activities adhere to RACI principles, with clear accountability, responsibility, consultation, and information-sharing. • Maintain and update operational documentation, policies, and standards for ETAS Directory Services. • Champion compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement within ETAS scope. • Drive modernization, automation, and legacy component removal for Directory Services. • Evaluate and implement new technologies, tools, and processes to enhance AD performance, security, and scalability. • Lead external assessments, penetration tests, and remediation activities for Active Directory Services.

Requirements

  • Requires a BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 7 years of IT management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with proactive risk management, compliance, and continuous improvement within ETAS Directory Services is preferred.
  • Leadership experience and support for both onshore and offshore associates is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise-scale Active Directory environments, with a focus on architecture, engineering, and operations is preferred.
  • Deep technical expertise in AD design, management, and security best practices is preferred.
  • Experience with RACI-based governance and operational frameworks is preferred.
