About The Position

The Global Physical Security (GPS) Data Center Systems Team manages technology enabling the GPS Operations Data Center Team to provide physical protection to Data Center property, assets, and infrastructure. Oracle utilizes internally owned Data Center locations and third-party external Data Centers managed by Co-Location service providers. Oracle is seeking a highly experienced and multi-talented Director of Data Center Security Systems to join our team. This new position will be responsible for project oversight of the current Data Center implementation, development and management of a dedicated team supporting the production Data Center Security Systems across NAM. Working with stakeholders outside of GPS, the Initial focus will be the direction of security systems as Oracle constructs hyperscale DCs and the development of technical support teams across the Oracle Hyperscale portfolio.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in Data Center security systems management.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to mentor and develop team members.
• Experience with financial forecasting and budget management.
• Technical knowledge of Lenel Access Control and CCTV systems.
• Familiarity with compliance standards such as SSAE 18, ISO, NIST, and PCI.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with third-party security service providers.
• Knowledge of industry standard physical and technical security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational direction and oversight for GPS strategic initiatives related to the Data Center operational security program.
• Manage the Data Center Security Systems Support Team, including sourcing appropriate contracted staff.
• Provide Project Management services, liaising closely with the implementation team.
• Attend progress meetings and take a hands-on approach to project delivery.
• Mentor, develop, and guide Data Center Systems Support Team members.
• Provide monthly service ticket statistical data and analysis.
• Meet customer service financial objectives by forecasting requirements and preparing annual service and operating budgets.
• Work closely with cross-functional support teams to ensure compliance with all requirements.
• Provide technical support for Lenel Access Control, CCTV, Key management, and other technical systems.
• Partner with Oracle Lines of Business and external audit regulatory bodies to ensure physical security compliance.
• Provide quality advice to Oracle employees on all aspects of Physical Security as it applies to Data Center security.
• Work with 3rd party security service providers to maintain oversight for recruitment, selection, orientation, training, development, and retention of security systems and technical support staff.
• Maintain recognized industry standard physical and technical security best practices.
• Perform additional functions as directed by the VP Global DC Ops & Systems.
