About The Position

Choice Hotels, one of the world's largest lodging franchisors, is seeking a Director of Human Resources to provide strategic leadership and consultative support to assigned internal client groups. This role is pivotal in the delivery and administration of talent and culture programs, policies, and processes. The Director will collaborate proactively with client groups and HR stakeholders to ensure the successful planning and implementation of a wide range of people practices, including employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, workforce planning, change management, organizational development, talent review and succession planning, diversity, equity, and belonging, compensation and benefits, and learning and development. In this leadership position, the Director will communicate a clear vision and direction that motivates and energizes the team. They will manage and develop their team to set and achieve departmental goals while leveraging available resources. The Director will serve as an inspirational coach and authentic leader, fostering a high-performing team and strategic business relationships. They will anticipate and plan for long-term human resource needs and trends in partnership with business leadership, ensuring that the HR function aligns with the overall business strategy. The Director will also develop and nurture strong business partnerships with internal client groups, serving as the single point of contact for all HR-related topics. They will lead and support the delivery of HR programs and processes, implementing solutions for routine and non-standard issues. This role requires collaboration with client groups and HR leadership on company-wide and department-specific organizational development and change management initiatives. The Director will participate in establishing overall goals, objectives, and measurable outcomes related to client groups, and will serve as a counselor and confidante to associates and leaders in all areas of Human Resources, with a strong emphasis on coaching and counseling regarding employee relations issues.
