About The Position

The Director of HR Systems and Solutions at Chewy is responsible for leading the HR technology strategy and implementing innovative solutions that support the company's growth and enhance the employee experience. This role involves creating a comprehensive technology roadmap, primarily utilizing Workday, and collaborating with various teams to ensure that HR systems meet business needs and improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in HR systems, including leadership roles in HRIS management.
  • Extensive experience with Workday; knowledge of Kronos is a plus.
  • Proven success in selecting, implementing, and improving HR systems.
  • Solid project management skills with experience in leading multi-functional projects.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Knowledge of data privacy laws and compliance standards.
  • Ability to translate business objectives into actionable HR technology strategies.
  • Experience solving complex challenges in growth-oriented environments.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence senior leadership as a strategic consultant.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources, HRIS, or related field.
  • Workday implementation experience and relevant certifications.
  • Experience in e-commerce or retail.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and experience with scrum teams.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to challenge the status quo.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead HR technology strategy, focusing on scalability and automation.
  • Serve as the Workday authority, providing thought leadership on HR systems.
  • Build relationships with HR, IT, Finance, Legal, and Procurement teams for system selection and implementation.
  • Manage HR technology vendors to ensure cost-effective and secure systems infrastructure.
  • Evaluate and integrate new HR systems, ensuring compliance with data privacy standards.
  • Lead projects by defining scopes, work, and success metrics to ensure timely and quality delivery.
  • Implement governance processes for system audits and controls to maintain compliance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing HR technology team.
