As a Director, Human Resources supporting Alcon’s Research & Development (R&D) and Business Development & Licensing (BD&L) functions, you will be trusted to align and implement HR strategies and processes to meet both strategic and operational business needs, while advising executive leaders on organizational and people-related matters from our site in Fort Worth, TX. In this role, a typical day will include: Providing leadership with consultation and support across the spectrum of talent management, including selection, assessment, succession planning, development, engagement, and retention. Leading global efforts and guiding organization effectiveness and change management initiatives. Building institutional understanding and capability to execute effective performance management among leaders. Proactively fostering leadership development across all levels of management. Ensuring effective communication strategies are in place and executed. Ensuring that the Human Resources function is seen by all associates as their committed advocate. Assessing, prioritizing, and representing the business team needs to COEs and HR Operations. Collaborating to identify solutions, lead their implementation, and assess HR process effectiveness for improvement opportunities. Leading accountability efforts for consistent administration of HR policies and practices. Managing the implementation of enterprise-wide HR programs, processes, and practices. Managing complex multi-location HR projects. Coaching business leaders on HR-related topics, such as change management, talent management, and career development. Driving a high-quality talent bench through selection, equitable compensation practices, and talent development. Supporting diagnostic intervention and problem resolution strategies to contribute HR perspectives to business issues. Leading a team of Human Resources professionals to deliver exceptional experiences to managers and associates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +18 yrs; Assoc.+14 yrs; M.S.+7 yrs; PhD+6 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 10 Years of Relevant Experience
  • 6 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
