About The Position

The Director, Human Resources at Paylocity serves as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor, focusing on translating business requirements into an executable talent strategy within a fast-paced, high-growth organization. This influential role involves partnering directly with C-level executives, leading a team, and acting as a coach and change agent on talent-related issues. The Director will leverage data and analytics to identify opportunities and make recommendations that support business growth and productivity improvement, fostering an environment of trust and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, HR Management, Psychology, Organizational Effectiveness, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience as a business partner or manager, with at least 3 years managing a team.
  • Experience in a high-tech environment, supporting Sales and Marketing organizations.
  • Proven experience translating business requirements into talent strategy and leading through change management.
  • Fluency with Sales commission and bonus plan design.
  • Extensive experience advising on complex employee relations and performance concerns.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to interface with all organizational levels.
  • Prior experience providing HR consulting to leadership teams at the functional or business unit level.
  • Experience developing leaders and leadership teams at the functional/business unit level.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the vision, strategies, and goals of the business and align the talent strategy accordingly.
  • Operate as a trusted advisor on the leadership team, building partnerships with business leaders to create and improve the talent strategy.
  • Identify emerging talent challenges and opportunities through research and data analytics, partnering with HR Centers of Excellence to create solutions.
  • Support client needs and drive transformation through HR programs and initiatives including performance management, talent acquisition, and diversity.
  • Facilitate the resolution of employee relations issues in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Lead, develop, and inspire a team to deliver HR programs and initiatives, acting as a mentor and coach.
  • Develop human capital through compensation analysis and career planning to support a high-growth environment.
  • Design and administer talent policies and procedures to ensure alignment with company values and culture.
