The Director, HR Business Partner acts as a strategic partner to assigned customer groups shaping and driving the execution of people strategies for the organizations they support. The key areas of focus will be talent management, organization growth and development, and culture and leadership ensuring that programs in these areas are fit for purpose and rolled out in a systematic and impactful way. S/he will be a key member of the HR Leadership Team contributing to the HR commercial strategy working in close partnership with the HR Centers of Excellence to address the needs of the business. This position requires the ability to manage both strategic priorities and programs, and tactical execution.

  • Serves as a strategic advisor and coach to the US region commercial leadership team on workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee engagement, and organizational development.
  • Works closely with HR Centers of Excellence to develop and implement programs across the organization inclusive of talent management, culture and engagement, compensation etc.
  • Anticipates internal and external business challenges and proactively strategizes process improvements and opportunities to address.
  • Coaches and counsels business leaders on performance management, employee relations, retention, and professional development for the functional groups supported.
  • Regularly develops, monitors and updates workforce plan in partnership with assigned business leaders, talent management and talent acquisition to ensure robust talent pipelines of both internal and external candidates.
  • Partners, evaluates, and advises on the impact of long-range planning on new programs/strategies as those items impact the attraction, motivation development and retention of talent in the company.
  • Leads strategic initiatives impacting the organization or within Human Resources.
  • Fosters a culture consistent with the values and mission outlined by the leadership of the company and Insulet's Ways of Working.
  • Remains current on local, state, federal and international human resource related laws and regulations and ensures compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 15 years of HR or related experience
  • 8+ years' experience supporting a commercial organization strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with and understanding of sales incentive compensation plans and designs
  • Demonstrated program/project management experience
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to facilitate, communicate and influence at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative, team-oriented environment.
  • Aptitude for building/maintaining trusted relationships with customers and teams.
  • Proactive, motivated self-starter, managing with discipline and focus long term complex initiatives.
  • Passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and sound judgments on complex or sensitive, confidential issues.
  • Knowledge of employee relations principles, practices, methods, and programs.
  • Knowledge of a range of dispute resolution techniques.
  • Knowledge and understanding of federal and state employment and labor laws, regulations, procedures, and standards.
  • Base salary range of $165,525.00 - $248,287.50
