About The Position

Responsible and accountable for managing and directing the day-to-day operations of the Health Information Management Department. Works with a team of managers and staff to integrate services within the support center of the hospital and to deliver quality services cost effectively. Coordinates all functions, including record completion, indexing, coding, compliance/revenue, capture activities, transcription, research, filing, storage retrieval,#abstracting, record maintenance. Responsible for HIPAA privacy practices.# Serves as RAC liaison.# Responsible for 24 hours / 7 days a week management coverage as required.# CDMP Program Lead.# ICD-10 Implementation Lead.

Requirements

Bachelor#s degree required
RHIA required
Five years of healthcare or business experience, at least three of which have been as a supervisor, manager, or charge position

Nice To Haves

Masters degree preferred with prior management experience
