Role Overview A Senior Director of Health Care Real Estate Advisory Services will lead client projects, with regular guidance from their Managing Director. They collaborate with others to solve business problems and develop close relationships with clients. They typically have eight or more years of relevant business and consulting experience and have demonstrated exceptional consulting competencies through previous employment performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 8-15 years of experience related to healthcare strategy, operations, and finance with current or recent experience serving external clients in a consulting capacity
  • Experience in leadership of business and/ or strategies that drive financial and operational goals.
  • Project management and consulting experience

  • Travel (by air and car) as required depending on engagement mix. Travel requirements will vary depending on project load and could be extensive for short durations.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office tools, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with demonstrated ability to efficiently produce crisp, professional documents.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters Degree (Healthcare administration or similar) preferred or a graduate degree in health administration, public health, business, technical or analytical concentration a plus, but not required.
  • Experience in healthcare consulting focused on strategic facilities master planning, service line planning, and business and data analytics, a plus
  • Technical Expertise (one or more of the following preferred): Tableau, PowerBi, EMR (e.g., Cerner, Epic) and general ledger experience

  • Maintain key documentation throughout the project, including status reports, issue/risk logs, decision history, business process diagrams, etc.
  • Manage conflicts and escalate critical issues to the project sponsor.
  • Ensure clients are provided high-quality services from all levels of the team and provide an appropriate level of oversight and review of client reports and deliverables.

  • Creates and implements a communications plan to keep team members, stakeholders, and sponsors up to date on project status and issues.
  • Create project status summaries, reports, metrics, written analyses, assessments, and other presentations of work performed.
  • Flexibly contributes to other project roles, as necessary, with project sponsor approval.
  • Ensures key performance management milestones are met for self; actively participates in calibration process.
  • Pursues opportunities to expand own capabilities and to refine and further develop expertise to meet evolving market / client demands.
  • Build relationships with other Ankura professionals and participate in industry events where subject matter expertise is requested.
  • Maintain a professional image within the company and project the same to those outside of the company.
  • Mentor junior practice members to enable their professional development and continued growth.

  • Lead analysis of R&D portfolio including strategic and financial position relative to corporate goals
  • Providing strategic recommendations for project and overall business that will directly impact achievement of results.
  • Gathering, eliciting, documenting, and analyzing business requirements
  • Own competitive intelligence and relative positioning of related and competitors’ assets
  • Researches and analyzes potential solution approaches.
  • Continually analyzes business issues and facilitates resolution to keep the project on target.
  • Forecast near-term and long-term portfolio productivity and proactively identify potential milestone gaps with recommendations for gap filling.
  • Monitor portfolio progress and related milestones, including mitigation approaches.
