About The Position

Are you passionate about advancing population health and improving outcomes for communities? We’re seeking an experienced health equity leader to collaborate with internal teams and community partners to address barriers and expand access to oral health. In this role, you’ll roll up your sleeves to develop, lead, and ensure successful implementation of oral health equity strategies that promote equitable, community-informed approaches to advancing care and improving outcomes. The base pay range for this position in Western Washington varies between $140,200.00 - $230,400.00. Washington Dental Service and its affiliates, including Arcora Foundation, Delta Dental of Washington, and TriForza Corp., intends to offer the selected candidate a base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay will also be adjusted based on the candidate's geographic location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of experience in public health, population health, health administration, or related fields with increasing responsibility, or 15 years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility.
  • Strong commitment to advancing health equity, with demonstrated ability to lead systems change and advance equity initiatives within complex organizational environments.
  • At least 5 years of experience building, leading, and developing cross-functional teams.
  • Experience contributing to executive or organizational leadership teams and advancing enterprise priorities, including engagement with senior leadership or boards.
  • Experience leading complex projects and programs with clear ownership, timelines, and outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and drive organizational change across cross-functional teams and business units.
  • Strong partnership and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience building trusted relationships across diverse internal and external constituencies.
  • Experience using quantitative, qualitative, and community-informed insights to identify disparities, guide interventions, and measure progress.
  • Commitment to the organization’s mission and values and to advancing equitable oral health outcomes.

  • Proficiency in languages in addition to English is a plus and supports engagement with the diverse communities we serve.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the organization’s health equity strategy and roadmap to achieve health equity accreditation.
  • Lead initiatives and cross-functional projects to identify and address equity gaps in preventive care through targeted interventions.
  • Advise executives and senior leaders on strategic decisions that may impact equitable access, care delivery, and health outcomes.
  • Guide development of equity-informed policies, programs, and training that improve access to oral health care for communities experiencing disparities.
  • Establish performance indicators and monitor organizational progress toward those targets.
  • Identify strategic opportunities and sponsor innovative approaches to address oral health disparities and improve outcomes across the enterprise.
  • Build and sustain partnerships with community and health organizations to inform and advance efforts to reduce oral health disparities.
  • Partner with Arcora leadership to align strategies and drive a shared vision for health equity.
  • Manage and develop the Health Equity team by defining roles, organizing work, and providing guidance on training, performance management, and professional development.
