About The Position

The Health Economics Reimbursement Policy (HEPR) Director for Medtronic's Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Operating Unit is a leadership role focused on developing and executing global reimbursement strategies to support product launches and new business development. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure payer coverage and sustainable payments, while also managing a team to align reimbursement initiatives with business priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in health policy, health services research, economics, biostatistics, epidemiology, public administration, clinical research or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience.

  • Ability to research and strategically apply technical reimbursement knowledge to various business situations.
  • Competence in international reimbursement, coding, coverage, and payment, with an understanding of health care economics in multi-government systems.
  • Master's degree in health policy, business administration, public administration, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in Medical Device or Pharmaceutical Industry Health Policy / Strategic Reimbursement experience.
  • Experience with industry clinical trial management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and provide guidance to the HEPR ENT team regarding strategic reimbursement direction and initiatives.
  • Create and execute comprehensive market access strategies integrating pricing, reimbursement, health technology assessment, and health economic modeling.
  • Design and implement an integrated approach to the payer value proposition from early development through loss of exclusivity.
  • Communicate the unique attributes of therapeutic area drugs/medical devices to external stakeholders to maximize market uptake.
  • Work with payers and reimbursement influencers to ensure fair reimbursement systems.
  • Develop strategic studies to favorably impact pricing, reimbursement, and market access.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative pricing research and design pricing strategy.
