Director, Head of Paid Media Role Summary HubSpot’s mission is to help millions of organizations grow better. As the Director of Paid Media, you’ll lead the global transformation of our Paid Media engine into an AI-first, data-driven, and relentlessly experimental growth platform. You’ll oversee a 25+ person global team spanning Affiliate, Direct Response, and Brand Paid Media — shaping how HubSpot reaches, inspires, and converts millions of businesses worldwide.

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing global Paid Media team managing investments across Google, Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube, CTV, OOH, sponsorships, and emerging platforms.
  • Drive profitable, scalable growth by optimizing HubSpot’s paid demand engine for measurable ROI.
  • Champion a culture of experimentation — testing new channels, creative formats, and bidding strategies to unlock new sources of growth.
  • Integrate AI across the paid ecosystem — from dynamic creative generation and keywordless campaigns to predictive LTV-driven optimization.
  • Advance value-based optimization by improving data accuracy, predictive modeling, and ROAS measurement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, and Strategy/Ops/Analytics teams to align paid investment with revenue and awareness goals.
  • Partner with the Direct Response team to evolve paid strategy beyond traditional search into AI-enhanced and diversified campaigns.
  • Reimagine Affiliate Marketing as a full-funnel program that extends visibility into emerging AI-driven surfaces like ChatGPT and AI Mode.
  • Partner with the Brand Paid Media team to amplify awareness and reach through global video, sponsorship, and partnership campaigns.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and data-informed decision-making across all paid channels.
  • 12+ years of experience in paid, growth, or performance marketing, leading global teams and managing large-scale budgets.
  • Deep fluency in AI-driven media optimization — including dynamic creative, predictive modeling, and keywordless campaign design.
  • Proven success driving value-based optimization using LTV/ROAS frameworks and advanced analytics.
  • Track record of scaling multi-channel paid programs that balance innovation and efficiency.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on collaboration, experimentation, and accountability.
  • Experience integrating GenAI into creative development or media optimization.
  • Familiarity with emerging ad formats such as AI Overviews and conversational search.
  • Background in SaaS or subscription-based business models.
  • Experience leading brand awareness programs at scale.
