About The Position

Director – Hardware Asset Management will play a critical role in directing the strategies, initiatives, policies and programs for global infrastructure development, processes and teams support and management. Manages activities through senior managers and managers and implements corporate and divisional strategic plans and budgets.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of IT Asset Management (ITAM) frameworks and hardware asset lifecycle management.
  • Experience managing hardware asset inventories across end-user computing, data center, network, and cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Asset Management and CMDB modules or equivalent enterprise asset management platforms.
  • Experience supporting data quality management and asset normalization processes.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices, particularly Asset Management, Configuration Management, and Change Management.
  • Ability to support control execution and evidence collection for audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of enterprise hardware lifecycle processes, including asset intake, assignment, maintenance, transfer, and disposal.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT Asset Management, Hardware Asset Management, or IT operations within a large enterprise environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing hardware asset lifecycle processes at scale.
  • Experience supporting internal audits, compliance programs, or technology control frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience investigating data discrepancies and operational exceptions.
  • Experience collaborating with technology, procurement, and finance teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document processes and communicate operational issues clearly.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex, large-scale technology environment.

  • Experience working within a global financial institution or other highly regulated industry.
  • Professional certifications such as: ITIL Certification Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP)
  • ServiceNow certifications
  • Experience supporting enterprise CMDB or asset management implementations.
  • Familiarity with enterprise procurement, financial asset tracking, and inventory systems.
  • Experience building operational dashboards, KPIs, and asset management reporting.
  • Experience working with global operational teams or distributed support models.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day Hardware Asset Management (HAM) operations across the enterprise technology environment.
  • Execute operational processes that support the full lifecycle of hardware assets, including procurement intake, deployment, transfer, and retirement.
  • Ensure accurate asset records and data integrity within enterprise asset repositories and the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
  • Execute and document control activities required by IT Asset Management policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve asset discrepancies, data integrity issues, and lifecycle exceptions.
  • Support and lead initiatives related to consolidation of hardware asset management process across the enterprise, including subsidiaries and business units as needed.
  • Partner with infrastructure, end-user computing, data center, cloud, and procurement teams to ensure complete visibility of hardware assets across the technology estate.
  • Support internal audits, regulatory reviews, and risk assessments by providing control evidence and operational documentation.
  • Track and report key asset management metrics, including asset accuracy, lifecycle compliance and control performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve asset lifecycle processes through automation, tooling enhancements, and process standardization.
  • Maintain operational procedures and documentation related to hardware asset management processes and controls.
  • Provide guidance to analysts and operational teams responsible for asset tracking and lifecycle execution.

  • The expected salary range for this particular position is $160,000-$260,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
