About The Position

The Director of Grid Modernization at PNM is responsible for leading the Grid Modernization Program, overseeing its growth and execution. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 9-11 years of experience, including 5 years in management.
• Proven track record of implementing large-scale projects within budget.
• Strong understanding of grid infrastructure and power systems.
• Expertise in Smart Grid technology and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage complex projects and optimize existing systems.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience with electric distribution system designs and operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Grid Modernization Program and ensure its effective execution.
• Develop and prioritize strategic documents and plans for Grid Modernization.
• Coordinate with various departments and external vendors to support the program.
• Provide operational input to the enterprise-scale strategy at PNM.
• Develop repeatable processes and tools for Grid Modernization initiatives.
• Oversee budget tracking and progress for the Grid Modernization Program.
• Act as the main contact for Grid Modernization vendors and manage relationships.
• Engage in thought leadership and represent PNM at industry events.
• Mentor and develop the Grid Modernization team, fostering a productive work environment.
• Communicate strategic initiatives and status updates to leadership.
